Eco products are available in the supermarket—and sometimes at the gas station. This is the case when bioethanol is pumped instead of gasoline or diesel. The number of gas stations in Europe that offer E85—this fuel consists of 85 percent bioethanol and 15 percent gasoline—is gradually increasing. With its study BioPower 100 Concept based on the 9-5 SportCombi, Saab displayed a variation of a vehicle, which is operated with 100-percent bioethanol (E100) and is almost ready for series production, for the first time at the Geneva Automobile Salon 2007.
