The discovery is not new, but it appears to have been pushed into the background in the activities of some automobile developers: A good amount of fuel can be saved even without complicated technology if the weight of the car is kept as low as possible. The Loremo follows this simple logic. The miracle of economy from Germany weighs in less than 1.323 pounds. With a two-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that has just 20 HP. the Loremo LS has a fuel consumption of 117 miles per gallon. Those who would like a sportier road performance can decide on the more powerful Loremo GT with three cylinders and 50 HP that reportedly makes the 2+2-seater faster than 125 mph. The light-weight with its length of 12.5 feet and height of just 3.7 feet has an unusual entry. There are no side doors; instead, the entire front part with its windshield and hood must be folded forward. The two seats in the back are arranged to face away from the direction of travel. This principle is intended to not only offer more safety in case of an accident, but also allows a coupe shape with a dramatically dropping roofline.

Das Sparwunder aus Deutschland bringt weniger als 600 Kilogramm auf die Waage, und mit einem nur 20 PS starken Zweizylinder-Turbodiesel-motor soil der Loremo LS weniger als zwei Liter Diesel auf 100 Kilometer verbrauchen. Wer etwas sportlichere Fahrleistungen mag. kann sich fur den starkeren Loremo GT mit drei Zylindern und 50 PS entscheiden, der den 2+2-Sitzer sogar 200 km/h schnell machen soil. Das 3,80 Meter lange und nur 1,14 Meter hohe Leichtgewicht bietet einen auBergewohn-lichen Einstieg. Seitliche Tiiren sind keine vorhanden, statt dessen muss die komplette Frontpartie mit Windschutzscheibe und Haube nach vorne geklappt werden. Die beiden Sitze im Fond sind entgegen der Fahrt-richtung angeordnet. Dieses Prinzip soil bei einem Unfall nicht nur mehr Sicherheit bieten. sondern ermbglicht auch eine Coupe-Form mit stark abfallender Dachlinie.
